Speedwood Three

Editorial Reviews
From the label
Speedwood Three includes some of LOST AND FOUND's best songwriting. Their personal favorite, "Amber," is a jarring political ballad which illuminates the paradoxes of modern life in America. "Heard," though an ode to scandalous gossip brings at least a smirk if not a full smile to the listener. In "Sand," one is brought face to face with the vicissitudes of fledgling romance ("...she said, 'Baby, it's carved in sand. What part of maybe don't you understand?' With her steely glance and her iron whim, she'd die to dance and she'd sink to swim..."). And, of course, the main point of the CD and of their work is brought home in songs like "New Creation" where the ever-present and unconditional love of God in Christ is proclaimed, not because of the believer's strength, resolve and purity but because of the mercy of God. There are a few cover songs on the CD, most notably, Gerry Coleman's, "The Lamb."

The CD is recorded live over the course of a few days. Some takes are from one day and some from others.

Album Description
The third volume of LOST AND FOUND speedwood. "Speedwood Three" includes many of the songs from Sikkibahm, but aged and recorded live. It is a sample of LOST AND FOUND playing a live concert in the summer of 1999. A couple of the songs (New Creation, Cling and Must Be) are from 1998's THIS, and have been reworked enough that Michael and George wanted them on a CD in this new arrangement. There are three new songs on the CD too. BAND_MEMBERS: Michael D. Bridges George Baum
