Ganymede

About the Artist
Drawing from the deep tradition of the Chicago electronic music scene, the style spanning instrumentals of Micronaut (the alter-ego of Sister Machine Gun front man Chris Randall) are the perfect soundtrack for a long night in the city. From the ethereal soundscapes of the self-titled first album to the trance influenced house and big beat of 2000's Io, Micronaut provides relaxation and adrenaline overdrive in equal proportions. With the release of 2002's Ganymede, Micronaut moves even further afield exploring drum & bass, jungle and tech-step.

Album Description
With Ganymede, Micronaut takes the experience of the Chicago underground electronic music scene to a new level. Stuttering breakbeats, deep ragga bass, and a thick layer of distorted synths, winding guitar lines and obscure samples all compete to take the listener on a tour of the heavy side of electronic music.
