About the Artist
T. Taylor and Chris Forbes are New York area avant-garde musicians and composers. Taylor is originally from Southern California but has spent the past eight years living and working throughout Europe, playing saxophone in a wide variety of experimental contexts. Chris Forbes is a classically trained pianist and composer who is also a well versed jazz improviser. He is the recipient of the Downbeat Student Recording Award as the Best Jazz Instrumental Soloist of 1978, for his avant-garde piano solo, Syntax. A new transplant to New York, Forbes has played at venues such as Tonic, and CBGB's Lounge and with musicians as diverse as Sabir Mateen, Matt Lavelle and Daniel Carter.
