Nervous Breakthroughs

Editorial Reviews
The New Yorker, 2003
"A spacious voice and a welcome weakness for lushly orchestrated pop."

Bernard Zuel, Sydney Morning Herald
"Like Christine McVie joined at the hip with Rufus Wainwright."

Album Description
"Nevous Breakthroughs" is the second, much-anticipated album by Peccadillo, the Sydney-based chamber pop group and the primary focus of Greta Gertler's early songwriting. It features the acoustic 5-piece band, occasionally enlarged by woodwinds, electric guitar and percussion and guest vocalists such as Barney McAll. All the musicians on the album are Australian. It was recorded by legendary engineer, Michael Stavrou (Stevie Wonder, Elton John, The Pretenders) and mixed by Noah Simon (Joey Ramone, Neil Finn, Suzanne Vega). The songs range dramatically in style and subject matter.
