Album Description
ACID CABARET is pretty much just what it says it is. This trio of Ed Alstrom (piano/vocals), Jeff Ganz (bass), and Don Guinta (drums) play a bewilderingly eclectic mix of tunes, mostly acerbic and/or witty, and the obscure rather than the tried and true. Anything's fair game with these guys: Broadway, R&B, opera, jazz, blues, classic rock, quirky originals, and whatever else they can bend to their own ends. The cretinous energy of a biker bar band, the proficiency of jazzbos, and the intimacy of a cabaret act? Somebody's gotta do it.
