About the Artist
A unique and creative unit, the Earl Harvin Trio has been a musical entity in Texas for about eight years. The band, consisting of Earl on the drums, Fred Hamilton on bass and guitar, and Dave Palmer on wurly, piano, and assorted noise machines, has been intent on spreading thier own personal brand of jazz and pure improvisational music to very diverse audiences all across the great lone star state. In September of 2001 they saw the release of their 4th cd overall and their first endeavor on the Two Ohm Hop record label. Being the first release they've been able to co-produce, along with label owner David Willingham, they feel confident that the wide range of the bands' playing and compositional styles will be accurately represented. This range of sound has its roots in the varied backgrounds of the trio's members. It would take much too long to include all the playing experiences and projects of all three of these musicians so, in conclusion, I would simply add tha! t this band offers music that can be found no where else and perhaps that is the most significant element to what is the Earl Harvin Trio.
