Skipping Stones

Editorial Reviews
About the Artist
Shelley Laine sings and writes with the passion inspired by her Texas roots. She possesses the entrepreneurial can-do spirit that is characterized by the state's oil wildcatters, cattle barons, and tech moguls. As a product of this competitive playing field, Shelley loves to meet the challenge. Indeed, she has confronted it as a businesswoman, qualifier in the trials for the Olympic women's soccer team, and in climbing peaks of some of the world's most recognized mountains. Shelley is a steel magnolia with a warm smile and gentle temperament.

Album Description
Veteran promotions/marketing executive Ed Spacek (The Dixie Chicks, Tanya Tucker, LeAnn Rimes, Willie Nelson) has teamed with producer/engineer Eric Paul (Townes Van Zandt, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Billy Joe Shaver) to produce Shelley Laine's debut album, Skipping Stones.

From the spiritually-flavored "Give It All Up" to the country ballad "Get Back Home" to Shelley's flawless vocal complement to the Mark Knopfler-influenced guitar work on "Blackbird," the CD's tracks, reflections of Shelley's country, gospel, blues and rock-and-roll influences, mesh effortlessly.
