Editorial Reviews Blobscape bursts with technical proficiency even as its tones and inflections deliver emotional shadings of every stripe. It unprepossessingly suggests the restless intelligence of its creator while warming up any room in which it's played.

About the Artist
Geoff plays guitar, sings, and writes music for the bands Karate and the Secret Stars. He also records and performs under his own name, and has two solo records out on Southern Records.
Album Description
"Blobscape" is a solo adventure featuring sixteen guitar improvisations culled from one hundred such performances recorded in the Fall of 2001 at the Narragansett Grange Hall in Wakefield, Rhode Island. Geoff's inspirations for this collection include Charlie Parker, Derek Bailey, Bach, John Zorn ...as well as Secret Stars collaborator Jodi Buonanno. Jodi inked "action paintings" as Geoff watched and played, both working off each others' ideas.
