Llama Rhymes

Editorial Reviews
-Rob Tannenbaum, Village Voice
"He’s a true New England eccentric, a master of daft power pop, and live, he plays in his pajamas..."

-Christopher Walsh, The Republic of Letters
"...Jonathan Richman for adults..."

Album Description
The highly anticipated follow-up to one of the most beloved albums of all time (and the one that started the whole alternative dixieland/omnipop craze), "Let's Have a Pancake." This one has guest star appearances from Boston-area favorites Bleu, Ramona Silver, and Suzi Lee; plus NRBQ's Johnny Spampinato; and even George Carlin! Fans of the Philharmonic's uproarious live shows may be surprised at the range of material, which careens from the XTC-influenced pop of "Village of the Darned" to the salvation army brass of "My Old Man" to the space-glam noise of "Mothra" to the lovely Burt Bacharach-via-Caetano Veloso changes of "Did You Ever Know." Lovers of witty, inventive songwriting will acknowledge the band's progress toward unearthing the missing link between Sun Ra and the Kinks.
