Album Description
SOMEWHERE SOUTH OF SOMALIA(the new album) Continuing his tradition of : live it, write about it, rap about it, Ithaka?s new action-adventure rap album, SOMEWHERE SOUTH OF SOMALIA, takes us straight outta the neighborhood and into the wilds of East Africa. Written on location during a two-month solo mission to Kenya and Tanzania, ITHAKA revisits his long explored topic of escapism. Each song reveals itself as a chapter in a hip-hop travel journal threaded together with common references and recurring themes, telling stories of: tribal folklore, urban dangers, elitist foreigners, epidemics, lives of war journalists and voodoo.
