Editorial Reviews As an educator, Dr. Alsop has worked as the Director of the Harbor Schools Residential Treatment Center for emotionally disturbed adolescents in Maine, and as an elementary school teacher at P.S. 132 in the South Bronx ghetto. He has lectured and performed at more than 400 colleges and universities and been on the faculty of many prestigious national conferences with such notable professionals as Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, Benjamin Spock, Buckminster Fuller, Masters and Johnson, Norman Cousins, Carl Simonton, and Jean Houston to name a few. He has also traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada, Southeast Asia, Australia, Central America, and Europe performing at conferences, festivals, rallies, and concerts with such well-known personalities as Steve Allen, Sid Cesar, John Ritter, Kim Carnes, Tony Danza, Kenny Loggins, Randy Newman, Jane Fonda, Cesar Chavez, Holly Near, Pete Seeger, and Maggie Kuhn. As a writer and producer, he has written and produced musical comedy, directed and edited music videos, and has completed twelve albums and four videotapes. Each of his five children's albums have won "Best Children's Album" of the year awards from either Parent's Choice or the National Association of Independent Record Distributors. His songs are often recorded by other performers, and have been included on anthologies, in filmstrips, videocassettes, movies and television programs. He is one of the original actors in Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum Shakespearean Repertory Company, and he has appeared in feature films and television. Peter now lives with his family, actress/director Ellen Geer and their two daughters, Megan and Willow, in Topanga, California.

About the Artist
PETER ALSOP is a nationally known singer/songwriter, lecturer and humorist from California, who is noted for the warmth and insight of his presentations. He studied at Trinity College in Connecticut, and Columbia University's Teacher's College in New York City. He has a Ph.D. in educational psychology and his songs are used by thousands of parents, doctors, educators and other human service professionals to help families discuss sensitive issues such as sexual abuse, disabilities, loss and grief, codependency, self-worth, chemical dependency and family violence.
