Farewell Shows - Seattle, WA [Live]

Editorial Reviews
About the Artist
Zony Mash was formed in 1995 and was the unofficial house band at Seattle's OK Hotel for several years. Although named after a Meters tune, Zony Mash is nevertheless not a Meters tribute group. The band plays original music with a few well-chosen covers that mix elements of avant-rock, jazz, funk and San Francisco sound. Zony Mash is Wayne Horvitz on Hammond B-3 and keyboards, Timothy Young on guitar, Keith Lowe on bass and Andy Roth on drums. Fred Chalenor was the original bassist. Zony Mash has toured numerous times on the west coast, has done three US tours and has also played in Europe and Iceland.

Album Description
This live 2 CD set contains over 158 minutes of what Wayne Horvitz says is the best recording Zony Mash has ever done. The recording is compiled over 2 nights of the final shows of the incarnation we know as Zony Mash. While we are sad to see them go, this recording leaves fond memories of greatness.
