Overall the album is performed brilliantly, the sound is clear, precise and punchy, and to think that it was done in a weekend....!

Album Description
Oppy Music, Vol. I: Purple, Crayon. is the first release from 19 year-old composer Chris Opperman on Purple Cow Records. In this first glimpse into the world of Oppy Music, we are formally (and not-so formally)introduced to some main characters and themes in Chris Opperman's sonic world. During this 53-minute musical miracle, produced by ex-Zappa stunt guitarist Mike Keneally, and featuring the dedicated work of 18 fantastic musicians, we are taken on a journey through twelve tracks of genre-bending, impossible-sounding landscapes which simply expose the peak of the Oppy Music Iceberg. Featuring the songs Shipped To The Sky, Ain't Got No Beef and The 22nd Overture, this CD is a must-have for every music enthusiast. Also includes a 16-page full-color booklet designed by international hearthrob atticus wolrab.
