About the Artist
The Jackie Frost Trio has performed in the Richmond, VA area for over ten years. Their vocal arrangements and acoustic adaptations of popular, but not mainstream cover tunes, and their provocative original material have made them an area favorite with a loyal following. Recently the Trio had the honor of performing live with the Richmond Symphony, under the direction of Mark Russell Smith, at Richmond's Carpenter Center for the Performing Arts with fellow artists Page Wilson with Reckless Abandon and Terry Garland, regionally famous blues artist. Other venues the JFT has played include Ashland Coffee and Tea, The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, St. Catherine's McVey Theater, Virginia Commonwealth University's Performing Arts Center, and University of Richmond's Modlin Center for the Performing Arts. The Trio has performed in George Turman's "Among Friends" concert series. In addition to Jackie, musicians on Calliope include Daniel Clarke of Modern Groove Syndicate [guitar, keys and vocals], Curtis Fye [acoustic bass], Daniel Hughes [guitar and vocals], Billy Lux [acoustic bass], Malcolm Pulley [mandolin], Robby Sinclair [drums] and Richard Ward [banjo and vocals]. Calliope was recorded, mixed and mastered by Bill McElroy of Slipped Disc in Ashland, VA
