About the Artist
Internationally acclaimed, Julius Papp, has built a reputation as a no-bullshit crowd-working deejay and a skilled producer with material on such heavyweights as Britain's Paper Recordings and France's Yellow Productions. From his home base in San Jose, he has developed a swinging soulful sound, characterized by deep garage and jazzy house. His versatility includes the slower tempo of acid jazz with productions on Nervous and Om Records. As a person, Julius is upbeat, quick and engaging, with a slight accent that betrays his Quebeçois heritage.

Internationally acclaimed producer and DJ, Julius Papp, leads this metamorphosis with his newest release, Loveslapped by Julius Papp. Julius presents three tracks, along side other Loveslap artists who believe House should be a musical journey containing all the emotions, feelings and elements of real life. Moving away from the common "colder" synth-based sounds long associated with the genre towards the integration of more live instruments and organic sounds, Julius purposefully tells a story with his song composition and selection.
