Editorial Reviews Carrie Akre formed Goodness after Hammerbox hung up their gloves. Goodness' self-titled debut came out in September 1995 to a tremendous local response. And no wonder. The initial first-stage launch given to any band fronted by Carrie was boosted by the fact that Goodness brought together five incredible, accomplished veteran musicians from the Seattle scene. The songs, written and arranged primarily by Carrie and guitarist Danny Newcomb, feature strong power pop progressions, crunching, stinging guitars, and heart-stopping transitions that keep the music jumping from a fast and furious start with Superwise, to a slow and thoughtful finish with Between You and I -- but keep listening and you're in for another surprise. Definitely a record worth repeated listenings, there's always something new that leaps out to draw you back into the sound once again as if for the very first time.
