The first single from Dublin's favorite sons' highly anticipated new album 'All That You Can't Leave Behind', that was produced by the duo responsible for the commercially successful & critically acclaimed albums 'The Joshua Tree', 'Achtun g Baby' and 'The Unforgettable Fire'. No U.S. single is scheduled for 'Beautiful Day'. Pt.2 is backed with two non-album tracks, live versions of 'If You Wear That Velvet Dress' & their chart hit 'Discotheque' recorded in Mexico City on December 3rd, 1997 during the third leg of their Popmart World Tour. Both of these live tracks appear on the 1998 VHS release Popmart, Live From Mexico City, but this is the first time they've been available on CD (commercially anyway as 'Discotheque' was included on the recent fanclub-only U2 'Hasta La Vista Baby!'). 2000 release.
