Brenda Weiler Live [Live]

Editorial Reviews

Pacific Northwest Inlander (Spokane WA)
"Weiler embodies the spirit of Ani DiFranco, while crafting music in the tradition of Dar Williams and Tracy Chapman."

Album Description
Brenda Weiler Live is the new album from folk-rock-singer-songwriter Brenda Weiler. It captures whatBrenda does best - perform live in front of an audience. It is a collection of songs taken from shows in Fargo and Minneapolis in the first half of 2001 and features songs from her third album Fly Me Back (some of which were decorated with a full band and strings) stripped down to their core - just guitar and voice. It also features songs from her first two albums that have naturally changed over the four year period since they were first recorded. Songs like "Tease" and "Pretty Face" feature Brenda's talent for rhythm and phrasing, whereas "Out of the Blue" and "This Voice" showcase her ability to hold an audience spellbound with her vocal dynamics and sensitivity to subject matter.
