About the Artist
Personnel: Graham Parker (vocals, acoustic & electric guitars, harmonica); Lucinda Williams (vocals); Ben Peeler, John Would (lap steel guitar); Tom Freund (melodica, keyboards, acoustic & electric basses, background vocals); Don Heffington (jews harp, drums, percussion). Recorded at Stanley Recording Studios, Venice, California.

Album Description
For nearly 30 years, Parker has coupled punk's energy with his love of American R&B, country, and soul that has rightly earned him a spot in rock's pantheon of original and influential figures. He's got a snotty barroom brawler's rasp and sneer, a soul man's swagger, and an ear for indelible hooks and pop songcraft. "Your Country" is a warm and melodic genre-bending masterpiece. His songs go from Motown to Nashville to blistering rock to the keening lonesomeness of a weary troubadour.
