Melanie Hargis lives in Columbus, Indiana. She is married and has several children, the youngest, a high school sophomore. Besides writing for teenagers, Melanie also enjoys softball, NASCAR, sports and horses. She has a passion for animals and currently owns an Arabian colt. Her indoor animals include a Rottweiler, a Beagle, a Siamese-Minx mixed cat, and a Cockatiel. This is her first novel.
