Good pictures; Big boxes.......2006-12-30
I typically need large calendar boxes to fit all of my appointments, and this one works fantastically. I also love all of the different pictures. There is typically one picture per day, although on some days one larger picture will spread across two days. I love travelling, and so this calendar (as well as last year's) has given me some great ideas. If you like travelling, Lonely Planet, or large calendar boxes, this is a great calendar.

The calendar for the rest of my life!.......1998-11-19
I used to spend every year searching through early February for a calendar I liked. Last year, I happened upon this one and have now spent all of October and early November looking for it again. (Should've known I'd find it on the web!) It has incredible pictures - one per day - of the most fascinating countries. (I love Europe, but who needs to spend the year looking at another calendar of castles?) Also has short yet informative blurbs about each country. A new country every month. Travellers - you'll love it!

unique photos, but better planners out there.......2006-02-19
I bought this planner because I usually get Sierra Club or Audobon and thought that Lonely Planet would also include cool pictures and be something a little different. I wasn't disappointed in that respect, but I'm giving it only three stars, because when I write in it (even lightly with pencil) my writing gets imprinted onto other pages probably with the ink from the pictures, so its a mess. And since its advertised as a 'diary' as well, that especially shouldn't fly. I have to treat it a bit gingerly, and that doesn't really mesh with my lifestyle.
Poor Ink Quality.......2006-01-26
The layout is nice and the pictures are beautiful, but I sincerely wish they'd used a different type of ink for the pictures. It rubs off onto the connecting pages causing a "carbon copy" effect. Anything you write on one page of the calendar will show up on the next few if there's a picture between. This even using a gel or felt tip pen with minimal pressure. After two weeks of using it, I'm about ready to give up and get something else.
