The piano/bass/drums trio has always been fundamental for development of jazz art form: from Bill Evans and Lenny Tristano to Keith Jarrett and Bad Plus Trio. It is an laboratory of jazz vocabulary and jazz articulation. Today, we are witnessing unparallel development of this form of artistic expression and we are proud to say that Michal Tokaj's trio is one of the bands riding this wave of the future.In September of 2004, the pianist’s own CD, „Bird Alone", a trio effort recorded with bassist Darek Oles (one of the most seek after bass payers in Los Angeles, California) and drummer £ukasz ¯yta, was released on the Japanese label Gats Production.
