About the Artist
Squat is a jazz quartet in the Athens/Atlanta GA area. Squat plays a wide mix of original music inspired by 60's era Blue Note, salsa, reggae, jump blues, trance, and gospel music. The band has been a featured performer at the Atlanta Jazz Festival, the Human Rights Festival, the Athens Jazz Festival, and AThfest and has performed with Maynard Ferguson; Squirrel Nut Zippers; Maceo Parker; Charlie Hunter; the B-52s; Medeski, Martin, and Wood; Derek Trucks; String Cheese Incident; ARU; and Sector 9.
