Mimi LORENZINI, a renowned guitarist, first got known in the French popular music with TRIANGLE, back in the early Seventies. Later, this Southern musician tackled Progresssive jazz-rock with EDITION SPECIALE, before taking up to various jazz experiences under his own name. Now the manager of the MusiSeine label, our man likes to take again his instrument to work with artists such as the pianist Françoise TOULLEC and the storyteller Jean-Luc DEBATTICE. "Ni Plus Ni Moins" ("No More No Less", 2004) shows a particular inclination towards so-called new musics, with a minimalist and unstructured approach here. Essentially based on improvisations, the twenty-four tracks honour a frenzied piano, a voluble acoustic guitar and a very sensitive poetry. This sensory experience should not be missed !
