About the Artist
Michael Musillami...Guitarist/Composer Michael Musillami relocated to the East Coast from California in the early 1980s. Mr. Musillami hit the chitlin circuit working with the traditional organ trio. Jazz organists, Richard "Groove" Holmes and Bobby Buster, just two journeymen who employed his talents. Since Mr. Musillami's arrival he has had the pleasure to have performed with such greats as Bill Barron, Thomas Chapin, Carter Jefferson, Dewey Redman, and Michael Moore to name just a few. Mr. Musillami has 4 releases as a leader. Bagg's Flight Home; with master bassist Michael Moore; Archives..With Thomas Chapin & Nat Reeves....Mar's Bars; with Ray Drummond, Randy Brecker and Thomas Chapin...and Groove Teacher; with Ralph Moore ,Claudio Roditi, Thomas Chapin. Mr. Musillami completed a very sucessful tour of Spain in December 1999, performing in Barcelona, Zaragosa, and Girona.
