Product Description
The Prowl is trombonist Ben Patterson's first release as a leader. For this outing, he has assembled some of the finest musicians in the Washington, D.C. area. The tunes are mostly originals, six from Patterson and one from saxophonist Jeff Antoniuk. The two standards on the CD are a beautifully reharmonized ballad version of "If Ever I Would Leave you," and an unusual quartet arrangement of "Cherokee," performed at a blistering tempo.
