"The corners of my mouth ache", begins Stinkin' Rich, the Halifax DJ - rapper, on the opening track of jazz drummer Jerry Granelli's new album. It's an odd pairing, but a logical one. Granelli handled the sticks on the original Peanuts theme song. A veteran of the West Coast jazz scene since the 60's, he has been around the block and back. Rich appeared on Sesame Street's Grocery Store Rap. He is up there with rhymer Kool Keith in terms of outlandish word configurations.
