About the Artist
The Jteam is a jazz band that can burn, get funky, tell a story a swing with the best of 'em. Conceived and led by Pianist/Composer Jeff Lawrence, the band consists of sax, trumpet,piano,bass,and drums. Rather than call the band The Jeff Lawrence Quintet, Lawrence opted for " the Jteam" because he felt thet the group wasn't the traditional jazz quintet. The styles of jazz would have more range and feature some electric elements. There are some standards which the group performs, but the focus is more on original compositions by Lawrence.
