Right from the dawn of the Swing Era, Vincent Lopez’s band was big news; in fact, his orchestra made history in 1921 when it was the first to be featured on a remote radio broadcast (which also marked the first appearance of the catchphrase "Lopez speaking"). So the fact that this is the first CD to feature his band is a real head-scratcher, especially when you consider that Lopez kept his band together for 40 years!
