About the Artist
A new, already third album by Jaromír Honzák (at the same time a member of Iva Bittová’s band Èikori and also of the Eben brothers band) recorded with an international band follows his previous Earth life. Using the electric guitar, utilizing the bow play on contrabass more often or playing the electric piano, a better sound coloring was achieved. Jaromír Honzák, the graduate from Berklee College in Boston, continues in the internationally famous Czech bass school on the fame of which for example George Mraz or Miroslav Vitouš participated.

In the past, Honzák appeared in his own bands, however, he cooperated also with Christian Rover’s trio or with Quartet East. The exclusively authorial repertoire of the band’s leader may be best characterized as a style-open contemporary music. The previous album Earth life was awarded the Harmony Price (Cena Harmonie) for the best Czech jazz recording of 2000. Tara Fuki sing in the last song of this new album.
