The thin, sleek design of the Mitsubishi LCD80 18-inch flat panel monitor requires no timing or clock setup. The simple push of a button activates all functions for error-free and worry-free operation. It has a lightweight, space-saving design and features technology that ensures image quality and easy setup. The 1,024 x 768 maximum resolution with a 75 Hz refresh rate, the 300:1 contrast ratio, the 0.28 millimeter dot pitch, and the 200 cd/m2 brightness rating combine to produce increased color clarity and deliver crisp, clear images.
The LCD80 has an automatic setup system that takes the away the guesswork. The system features the auto picture setup, which adjusts the horizontal and vertical position, clock, and clock phase. The auto grayscale setup adjusts the contrast and black levels, while the auto smoothing and scaling eliminates screen flickering and automatically expands the screen. Finally, the auto drift adjustment samples the phase and position every 30 minutes and compensates for drifts from the graphics card to the monitor.
Other features include an onscreen display control system with icon-based control panels and front panel buttons in six languages. A text/graphics mode allows you to enhance the screen by sharpening text documents or providing the highest color fidelity to graphic applications. With the use of ergonomic arms, the Mitsubishi LCD80 18-inch flat panel monitor is also wall, ceiling, or floor mountable.
The Mitsubishi LCD80 18-inch flat panel monitor is compatible with both PC and Macintosh computers. The included Macintosh adapter makes it compatible with the Mac straight out of the box. The monitor is also backed by a three-year limited warranty on parts and labor.
Product Description:
Few liquid-crystal displays (LCDs) can attempt such brilliant colors and focused text as the 18.1-inch NEC LCD 80. Most are too busy trying to accommodate the flat screen with a wider viewing angle and higher contrast. The NEC surpasses these LCDs and competes with the highest quality cathoderay tube (CRT) monitors. The 19.8-pound display has both a graphics and text mode to help it provide optimum displays. The graphics mode brings out rich, consistent color tones with 16 million colors, while the text mode produces bold, focused textual displays. The display has a higher contrast ratio than most LCD screens, with its brightest white appearing 230 times brighter than the darkest black on the screen. This helps both text and graphics appear more defined. The NEC performs best at a resolution of 1, 280 x 1, 024 pixels and a 75Hz refresh rate. At this resolution, each liquid crystal directs one pixel. The display maintains its quality at the lower resolution of 1, 024 x 768, but it shrinks to prevent distortion. At all resolutions, the pixels are .28mm apart. Among other options, users can change the display's brightness, contrast, color, and image position.
