This Compaq Wide-Ultra SCSI Controller is capable of delivering super performance with 32-bit bus master capabilities, transferring data as fast as 133 MB/s (PCI) between storage subsystem and system memory.Wide-Ultra SCSI delivers data transfer rates of up to 40 MBs per second, doubling the transfer data rates of the Fast-Wide SCSI-2 controllers. Tagged Command Queuing improves performance by accepting commands simultaneously, sorting efficiently, and minimizing response time. Fault Tolerance supports software-based fault tolerant configurations available under Windows NT and NetWare (including hot fix, drive mirroring and controller duplexing). Storage Capacity supports up to seven internal or external SCSI devices with a maximum storage capacity of up to 63.7 GB per controller. Compatibility is available for all Compaq PCI server configurations and backward compatible with a variety of Fast-or Fast-Wide SCSI-2 devices including hard drives, CD-ROM drives and tape drives. The kit includes a controller, installation guide, warranty card, support software CD.
