The SCSI Direction kit features Adaptec's AHA-1522B host adapter providing SCSI connectivity. The SCSI Direction kit includes Adaptec's I/O operating environment support for DOS/Windows, OS/2, NetWare, and UNIX operating systems. The AHA-1522B host adapter uses the CPU's untapped power to improve I/O performance of the overall system, making it ideal for DOS-based PC environments.The SCSI Direction kit includes Adaptec EZ-SCSI software to make SCSI installation for DOS/Windows quick and easy. Simply insert the diskette, type install and follow the instructions. The software determines what hardware is present, and automatically configures the system by modifying the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT system files. Adaptec EZ-SCSI software provides support for Photo CD-compatible drives. With Photo CD technology, photographic images stored on CDs can be viewed and edited directly into multimedia applications. Using the Photo CD Viewer application included with Adaptec EZ-SCSI software, photographic images can be viewed one-at-a-time, as a slide show, or edited and exported as a data file.
