The RocketRAID 1544 is a 4-channel External Serial ATA (e.SATA) RAID host adapter. The 4 channels can be used independently, or combined to support a variety of single-disk and RAID configurations. The external channels are ideal for removable storage and backup applications, and are designed for use with RocketMate external disk enclosures. The RocketRAID 1544 provides multi level RAID support, including RAID 0, 1, 0/1, JBOD, as well as powerful software management functions. The RocketRAID 1544 e.SATA RAID host adapter increases disk performance to 1.5Gb/s. As a high-performance, affordable RAID solution, the RocketRAID 1544 is well suited for nearly any corporate, industrial, or home environment application. The RocketRAID 1544 Serial ATA RAID host adapter is ideal for small LAN servers, critical business data storage, PC gaming, and high-end personal storage needs. The RocketRAID 1542 is not only able to connect with Serial ATA hard disks, but also can be utilized with standard IDE hard disk drives (when used in combination with IDE compatible RocketMate disk enclosures).
