This optional card is used to convert the standard, split backplane of an xSeries 250 into a single Ultra160 SCSI channel supporting up to ten hard disk drives (HDDs). This option is available for applications that require a large number of HDDs running from a single SCSI channel and when optimized performance is not critical.
