You can install a supported SCSI controller in your system and use a SCSI cable to attach the DAC960SXI box to your controller. The DAC960SXI fits in a standard 5.25 inch drive bay and connects to your RAID disks. The advantage is that no operating system driver is required and the RAID is transparent and appears as one large single disk drive. The DAC960SXI is the choice of those using operating systems that lack reasonable native RAID drivers.
