The DataPort VII comes standard as an Ultra DataPort with a high-impedance cable for SCSI Ultra Wide applications. DataPort VII features a removable front bezel allowing custom-made devices to be used in a single frame. This applies to 1.6" and 1" cut-out options for MO, DAT, and other removable media devices. The DataPort VII features a "Thermostatically Controlled Cooling System" (TCCS), fan failure alarm, a seven-segment SCSI ID display and a selector switch. A filter is located inside the opening of the handle to eliminate dust particles from settling on the electronics of the drive. DataPort VII is also available in all IDE interfaces including ATA-133 with a Master/Slave LED readout on the front.
