The Automatic Backup System (ABS) with a FireWire interface was created for notebook and desktop computers, with the same backup software as the PCMCIA version of the ABS. Small and lightweight, the FireWire ABS is designed to be easily transportable.Simply plug the ABS into your notebook or desktop FireWire port and a backup launches automatically. Each time the unit is inserted, the ABS automatically scans your source drive and compares each file to the files on the ABS. The ABS then copies any files that have been changed or newly created since the last backup was performed.
