You also have CD-Rs, but they require a separate program to write to them. The MicroDrive however is about the size of a pack of gum, so it's even more portable than a CD! And writing to it is as easy as a floppy. Just pop the cap off to expose the USB connection, then plug it into the computer. It pops up as a separate hard drive to which you can drag & drop files easily.
