The Pioneer DVR-A08XL internal DVD writer fulfills your need for speed, capable of writing at speeds up to 16x on compatible DVD-R and +R discs. A dual format internal drive, the DVR-A08XL supports DVD-R and DVD-RW disc formats as well as the +R and +RW formats. With the ability to write 4.7 GB of data to write-once media in approximately seven minutes, or store up to 8.5 GB on Double Layer DVD media, the DVR-A08XL is a valuable resource for authoring, editing and storing of video files, developing digital music catalogues, building image libraries, and backing up data.

The internal DVR-A08XL drive comes in three colors to match your PC: Beige Bezel, Silver Bezel, and Black Bezel

In addition to recording rewritable DVD-RW and +RW discs at up to 4x speed, the DVR-A08XL can burn CD-R at up to 32x and CD-RW discs at up to 24x speed. It also features the Pioneer-developed Liquid Crystal Control System for precise recording onto the surface of discs that may be warped or slightly irregular, assuring optimum recording performance.ÊPioneer's Precision Recording Technology utilizes an auto-adjustable writing technique to enable recording under the best conditions for each disc characteristic at all times. Additionally, the drive features new, quiet drive technology, which reduces up to 75 percent of operating noise and vibration compared to previous models, making playback practically silent.

With 16x DVD media not yet available, the DVR-A08XL enables you to write on currently available 8x media at faster speeds by capitalizing on PioneerÕs over specification technology, a writing strategy designed to allow the A08XL to record at higher speeds with certain media.

General System Requirements Windows XP, 800 MHz Pentium III or faster, 256MB RAM, 20GB hard disk, 24-bit color graphics display (1024x768 resolution). Software supplied is not Mac compatible.
