About the Author
David Burchell is a senior lecturer in the school of humanities at the University of Western Sydney. He is the coeditor, with Andrew Leigh, of The Prince's New Clothes: Why Do Australians Dislike Their Politicians? He was the editor of Australian Left Review and currently chairs the editorial board of Australian Universities Review and is an associate editor at Australian Policy Online.
