About the Author
Charlie Russel and Sharon Crawford are co-authors of numerous books on operating systems. Their titles include Running Microsoft Windows NT Server 4, UNIX and Linux Answers, NT and UNIX Intranet Secrets, and Upgrading to Windows 98.
Charlie Russel is currently an information technology consultant, specializing in combined Windows and UNIX networks. He's also the co-author (with Linda Gaus) of SCO OpenServer: the Windows Network Solution.Sharon Crawford is a veteran, even grizzled, writer of computer books. In addition to the books with Charlie, she has written a dozen or so more, the most recent being Windows 2000: The Missing Manual and Windows 2000 Professional for Dummies (with Andy Rathbone).Jason Gerend has co-authored numerous books, including The Effective Executive's Guide To Outlook 2002, The New Webmaster's Guide to Dreamweaver 4, and the New Webmaster's Guide to FrontPage 2002. He also helped Sharon and Charlie write the first edition of the Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Administrator's Companion, and Windows 2000 Pro: The Missing Manual. A Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Jason enjoys hiking and installing operating systems for fun. He's been fooling around with computers since the days of MS-DOS 2, was a big fan of OS/2 2.1, and has been a freelance Webmaster and computer consultant since 1995.
