Bold & Beautiful is the result of a documentary impulse by Ezra Petronio, Editor-in-Chief of Paris-based fashion and arts magazine Self Service. Over a number of years, hundreds of people have entered the doors of the magazine's office and posed in front of the flash of his original 1970s Polaroid camera. He captured intimate moments not just of the magazine's extended family tree but of the culture, since those who gathered there were designers, musicians, artists, photographers, writers, and thinkers of all stripes--establishment and avant-garde, the creative community and fashionable society, old friends, new friends, and friends of friends.
