About the Author
Marilou Regan is an award-winning professional journalist and has written extensively about the Rolling Stones.
Many of her articles were exclusive concert reviews, band history, feature articles, interviews and profiles. She wrote, edited and compiled the 80 stories in "Love You Live, Rolling Stones: Fanfare from the Common Fan", a tribute book to the Stones from the fans perspective.
As the former US editor of an international Rolling Stones fanzine and fan club, Marilou covered the Bridges to Babylon and No Security tours in 10 countries and over 40 cities. Including 8 shows on the current Licks World Tour, Marilou had the privilege of attending over 93 Rolling Stones concerts since 1972, 43 of them from 1997 to1999.
Marilou has been an avid fan of the Stones and their music since 1964 and two of her three children are named after band members Keith and Brian. Daughter Elizabeth coincidentally has the same name as one of Mick Jaggers daughters. Marilou collects Stones memorabilia and has an expansive poster collection.
Marilou is also an award-winning television producer with an Addy and Telly award, and is noted for her work in all aspects of the media. Marilou earned much of her considerable experience in TV broadcast journalism as the executive producer of a half-hour television entertainment magazine, Happenings, and the award-winning KidSports, a half-hour childrens TV show seen nationally in 55 million households.
She created the show concepts and was head writer for both shows. She has also produced a variety of television projects including: industrial documentaries; infomercials; commercials, entertainment programming and live broadcasts.
Marilou was a reporter for Philadelphia Inquirer for 12 years and was also a correspondent for Woman's World Magazine. She has published more than 2,000 articles and penned over 500 scripts for regional and national clients these past 20 years. She has also produced newsletters, brochures and promotional materials.
A Yoga Instructor, Marilou teaches at a local hospitals health center. Marilou developed yoga courses for the mentally ill and Downs Syndrome adults. She taught yoga to mentally and physically handicapped patients at an international institution for the handicapped. She published the results of her work with these special-needs people in articles in Yoga Journal Magazine in the 1980s.
She is currently on the Board of Directors for Arnold Schwarzeneggers Inner City Games Philadelphia and is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Regan resides in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA.
About Hans Oosterbaan
Hans Oosterbaan brings his extensive hands-on rock n roll knowledge and experience to "Love You Live, Rolling Stones: Fanfare from the Common Fan", a Stones tribute book from the fans perspective. He assisted editor Marilou Regan with compiling stories and photos for the book by tapping into his many international contacts.
The founder and former member of an international Stones fan club and fanzine, Hans knows every aspect of running a Rolling Stones fan club and fanzine publication. Hes been involved in membership, layout, design, and publishing. He has also earned considerable fan club experience hosting Stones-themed rock conventions in Europe a minimum of four times a year.
Hans is also an unofficial ambassador to the Stones on behalf of fans, having helped countless new and old friends worldwide with concert information, connections and accommodations. He is well known personally to all of the Rolling Stones.
Hans has seen 300 Rolling Stones concerts, about half of them during the Bridges to Babylon and No Security tours, representing the Netherlands-based Stones People as public relations liaison. He has followed the Stones to ten countries, and often worked backstage at concerts as an assistant to any crew member or tour personnel needing his help.
